Messages Reveal Jeffrey Epstein and former Trump strategist Ties

In late 2018, Steve Bannon, previously Donald Trump's chief strategist, visited the UK preparing for a address at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The speech was interrupted by hundreds of protesters, and Bannon, scheduled to travel that night, told Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Activists delayed my talk don't think I can make the plane we are heading to the airport".

Epstein replied: "There. Is a gulf air that leaves at 950 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an amazing helper".

These messages were released on Wednesday alongside more than 20,000 documents from the records of Epstein, the late financier convicted of sex crimes.

The release by the Congressional committee contains an iMessage chat where Bannon's name is redacted. Media outlets has been able to confirm his involvement by matching the timeline, events, and locations referenced.

For instance, Epstein discusses chartering a jet from the UK for the unnamed individual in the messages, and offers praise their "Oxford speech". Bannon participated in the News Xchange conference on 14 November, and gave the talk at the Oxford on November 16.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any wrongdoing, declined to comment on the inquiry.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon was one of the president's closest advisers in the lead-up to the presidential election and in the early days of his first administration, but stepped down from the White House in August 2017.

He has admitted he was making a film about Epstein prior to his passing and reportedly has approximately 15 hours of recordings. In a recording of his podcast recently, he stated: "We plan to release the series, the five-part series, in the coming year - at the start of next year."

But the recently disclosed materials indicate Bannon's relationship with Epstein extended than being his biographer, with the disgraced financier at times appearing to serve like a personal assistant.

A few days before the conversation in which Epstein appeared to have arranged a private plane for Bannon, Epstein said: "how does it feel to have the highest-paid travel agent in the world ".

Bannon thanked him: "U r quite capable assistant", to which Epstein replied "Massages. Not Included".

Discussing a trip to "Abu Dhabi" in another message, Epstein assured Bannon: "I'll make sure you are well looked after."

British Affairs Discussed in Messages

The published communications also reveal Bannon and Epstein talking about UK politics in that year.

On the day of his speech at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the EU exit issue this morning with Farage, Boris and Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a allusion to Theresa May, the struggling UK prime minister at the period, he added: "They are trying to move on. may soon…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "In my view remaining as long as you can in the UK. Ideal- so others see the dedication of your follow-up."

Soon after, Epstein asked: "Can Theresa May remain in power". Bannon replied: "I don't see how BUT the people over here have little courage" and noted "Boris ; Gove; Rees Mogg; Davis - someone has to take charge".

May was eventually removed in 2019 after surviving two votes of lack of support in December 2018.

A representative for Reform UK informed media: "Nigel Farage has not been in a gathering with Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is no evidence such a meeting occurred.

The US House of Representatives will decide next week on whether the Department of Justice should make public all its records related to its probe into Epstein, who died in jail in that year.

Interest in Epstein's associations with influential individuals was reignited recently after the publication of over 20,000 documents from his archives.

A portion of those referenced the former president, who has repeatedly rejected any wrongdoing. The leader was a friend of Epstein's for years, but claims they parted ways in the 2000s, two years prior to Epstein was initially charged.
