Liverpool's Star Offers Regret to Liverpool Dressing Room, Discloses Curtis Jones

The Liverpool midfielder has revealed that Mohamed Salah said sorry to the group of players after the controversy from his recent interview.

He was omitted from a European match after making accusations and suggesting his relationship with manager had soured.

“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, I apologise.’”

Arne Slot has refused to reveal on whether he was apologised to from the player.

Jones insisted that the squad's reaction was unchanged. “He was his usual self, he had a big smile on his face and we all treated him normally,” the midfielder explained.

The midfielder also implied that a teammate fighting for a place is less of an issue. “I get that there are certain ways you can handle situations,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just not start, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”

Liverpool's form have stayed unbeaten in the period after the interview fallout. He feels the Salah's words were never meant to cause disruption.

“When there’s been any sort of anger, it has consistently come from a desire to win,” Jones concluded. “We’re past that now and we’re building chemistry, performing and securing victories.”
