I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
