Actor Rejects Anti-Vax Position Following Lending His Voice To Disputed Pandemic Film

The "Taken" star has lent his vocal talents to a recent film that challenges the efficacy of vaccinations and commends one-time government figure Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Film's Provocative Basis

Named "Plague of Corruption," the film is inspired by a well-known publication written by a disgraced researcher, who became famous during the pandemic for allegations that the virus was a result of a problematic version of the influenza shot.

Her writing partner, the executive producer, has penned books with controversial figure a known commentator. Heckenlively recently posted praising Neeson's role in the film.

A Strong Rebuttal

Representatives for Liam Neeson have released a response strongly denying implications that he subscribes to anti-vaccine sentiments.

"We all understand that corruption might be present within the drug industry, but that should never be conflated with rejection of vaccines," the statement states. "Liam has never been, and is not, anti-vax. His extensive work with Unicef highlights his consistent support for global immunisation initiatives."

It continued that the star was not involved in crafting the documentary's narrative and that inquiries about its claims ought to go to the creators.

Major Claims Featured in the Feature

According to the documentary, the narration spoken by Neeson features several provocative points:

  • It suggests that pro-immunization voices have called for "complete compliance" to public institutions.
  • It argues that "research has become dangerously influenced by politics."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is interviewed stating, "The major issue with vaccines is that they just aren't properly vetted."
  • It further attacks stay-at-home orders, saying they caused mental anguish that cost thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of pandemic shots, it mentions a perspective that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "dangerous experiments."

Historical Controversy and Current Disputes

The film includes a historical film about HIV drug testing on children, which was subsequently the focus of a correction by the corporation for editorial breaches.

Recently, the political figure called on the national health agency to change its official position that there is no connection between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. This supposed link is also referenced in the film, despite a recent study from the global health body stating no connection has been found.

A Past Record of Endorsement

Contrasting the documentary's tone, Neeson has previously expressed clear advocacy for vaccines in his role as a charity ambassador.

In 2022, he called vaccines as "a remarkable human success story," stating that "The debate about vaccines in lately has lost sight of how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in human history."

The film finishes with Neeson's script proclaiming, "This isn't the finish of our journey. It is the start of a different phase."
